The vacation home is located in the south of France, in the Lot-et-Garonne region. It is 100 km from Bordeaux and 40 km from Bergeac and Saint-Émillion. The property is about 5 km from the smallest town in France, called Duras. This town is extremely charming and has only a few streets. It is very small, but offers everything you could dream of. Would you like to buy a fresh baguette every day, a nice piece of meat for the evening barbecue, or perhaps a vegetarian and organic meal? Everything is available in this picturesque town. During the summer months, you can stroll around the local market every Monday morning, where you will find many fresh products. On Thursday evenings, you can enjoy a freshly prepared pizza in the village square. On other days of the week, you can visit one of the markets in the villages/towns around Duras. Would you rather sit on a terrace or go to a restaurant? There are many options in the surrounding area.

We spent a week here as a family with two children (aged 3 and 6). We really enjoyed this tastefully decorated house in an exceptional setting. There are lots of activities on offer in the surrounding area. The region is a lovely place to explore as a family.

We spent a week here with our 11-year-old daughter and her 13-year-old friend. It was incredible. The pool is absolutely fantastic. Jonathan keeps the property in immaculate condition while preserving the natural beauty that surrounds it. We had planned lots of activities, but ended up spending most of our time by the pool and in the garden. The location is extremely quiet and secluded. There are no shops nearby and it's a short but very pleasant 10-minute drive to Duras or 20 minutes to a more industrial area with larger markets.
The house is exactly as pictured, but the garden offers breathtaking views of the hills and vineyards. It's a place where you can really disconnect. We LOVED it.

A little corner of paradise, a garden beautifully maintained by Jonathan, tastefully decorated interior, travelling with our dog and baby, we wanted for nothing. Ideal accommodation if you have a wedding at Dame Bertrande (but not only then).
The owners have an adorable dog, we will definitely be back!
